CRIME
As a superhero, Spider-Man spent years fighting crime against some of the most notorious villians. But in these uncertain times, not even a superhero is capable of defending the people from all forces conspiring violence and harm. Spider-Man has the experience and passion to protect the great citizens of our nation's capitol.
In New York City, he learned firsthand that not all criminals spend their days terrorizing innocent bystanders while flying around in colorful spandex. As mayor, Spider-Man will restore peace and justice by eliminating crime in all forms; from common thieves and thugs to corruption amongst our own elected officials.

EDUCATION
Spider-Man knows that America's economic stability depends first and foremost on quality public education. And with a PhD in biochemistry, Spiderman understands the incredible value of affordable higher education. He knows that strong city schools, whether at the elementary or university level, are the key to a strong workforce. This is why he has proposed initiatives to improve citywide literacy programs, lower high school dropout rates, and expand funding for advanced technology in the classroom.
Spiderman believes in a system of education that works in the interests of the students it serves. Like parents across the city, Mr. Parker is sick of elected officials working for their own personal financial interests at the cost of DC students' health and safety. Spiderman is committed to providing our kids with healthy lunches, safe playgrounds, and teachers devoted to the success of their students.
As a good friend of Mayor Fenty, Spiderman respects the work he has done to improve DC's public schools. But he also knows that there is still much to be done. He understands the needs of parents, teachers, administrators, and most importantly, students. As Mayor, Spiderman will ensure that by the end of his first term, DC's youth have access to the best public schools in the country.
HEALTHCARE
Spider-Man believes every DC resident should have access to quality affordable healthcare.
He believes we need to take care of our youth. As an orphan brought up in the inner city in a single parent home, Spider-Man witnessed first hand the importance of community health programs to lower-income families and their children. Spider-Man promises to expand access to hospitals and primary care physicians under the DC Healthcare Alliance.
Spider-man holds a PHD in Biochemistry and spent many years working with scientists on medical research. He is a strong advocate for stem cell research and promises to make UDC a leader in stem cell research. He supports President Obama's plan for healthcare. Spider-Man believes universal healthcare is not just a moral imperative but is the key to improving our economy. Spider-Man will work with President Obama to make sure that all DC residents are insured.

TRANSPORTATION
Spider-Man believes in clean, efficient, safe and cheap mass-transportation. He also believes that Washington DC's metro and bus services should be the model of what other city's mass transit should be. As mayor, the amazing Spider-Man will push for developing late night metro routes all week long. He will also push for a larger web of metro routes.
EQUALITY
Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, having spent plenty of time observing the streets from above, understands that it is our differences that make our communities stronger. As mayor, Spider-Man would fully support equal rights to all citizens - gay or straight. He applauds the District's recognition of out-of-state same-sex marriages and looks forward to working towards fully inclusive marriage rights. And of course - he is a huge fan to spandex full-body suits.
