About Spider-Man
Peter Parker has spent his life committed to serving his community and the greater DC area. After losing his parents at a young age, Peter was raised by his benevolent Aunt May and Uncle Ben; who throughout Peter’s childhood instilled in him the core values of honesty, morality, and personal responsibility. Following an unfortunate run-in with a radioactive spider in high school, Peter gained amazing spider powers, instantly super-charging him for a life of public service. But it was not until after the tragic death of Peter’s uncle at the hands of a violent criminal that he developed a tireless passion for positive change.
Peter’s career in public service began with basic crime fighting in his local neighborhood, but quickly evolved to earn him a reputation as public defender and keeper of the peace. Eventually, his city-wide acts of heroism would land him the name "Spider-Man."
Following years of city-wide do-gooding, Parker took the advice of his Aunt May and enrolled at Empire State University where he went on to earn a PhD in biochemistry. He later returned to teach at his childhood high school.
Currently, Peter Parker is a resident community organizer of the DC Metro area. With years of public service under his belt and a bold vision for the District of Columbia, Spider-Man is ready to clean up our nation's capital.
